**About us**
Established 30 years ago, Ardens is a leading sourcer and supplier of continental biscuits and bakery products from across Europe to key UK retailers. We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team on a full time permanent basis.

**The Role**
- Accurately code and process purchase invoices for stock, overheads, and credit card transactions.
- Ensure that all company credit card transactions are recorded correctly and checked against statements.
- Familiarity with VAT in relation to the purchase ledger.
- Reconcile supplier statements with creditor accounts.
- Match purchase invoices to purchase orders in the system.
- Work with colleagues to address any queries on purchases.
- Provide cover to the finance department during staff absence and leave.
- Ordering and managing office stationery.
- Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System and financial controls and policies to ensure that all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently and in line with company policies and audit standards.
- Any adhoc duties as required

**Skills & Experience**
- Good organisational skills with ability to multi-task ensuring that all deadlines are met.
- IT literate, with understanding of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A can do attitude with the ability to learn on the job & use their initiative.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £23,500.00-£27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Coventry, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
