Head of Housekeeping

We are a 24/7 residential treatment center in Yardley Gobion, Towcester specialising in stress related brain conditions including addiction. We are looking for experienced, proactive, hands-on staff to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team in the daily delivery of our holistic treatment program.
You would be part of a team that are supporting vulnerable adults with substance misuse/ complex needs/ dual diagnosis within a medically assisted detoxification and rehabilitation setting.
You would be required to oversee all housekeeping duties as well as be hands-on.
**Essential Duties**:
- Supervising housekeeping staff as duties are being performed.
- Supervises the duties and tasks of laundry staff.
- Stocks and maintains supply rooms; orders supplies according to a budget.
- Receives, processes, and handles guest complaints in regard to housekeeping services.
- Ensures that rooms are kept clean and free from hazards and in accordance to infection control policies.
- Ensures that all common areas are kept clean and free from hazards.
- Organise all staff during the day and hosts daily meetings with housekeeping staff.
- Assists guests or clients with questions and basic requests.
- Provides a high level of customer service at all times; remains professional.
- Hires and fires housekeeping staff; trains new housekeepers after hire.
- Meets with Management regularly in order to provide progress reports and address issues.
**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Understands the principles behind providing excellent customer service to guests or patients.
- Possesses the ability to manage a team of housekeepers effectively.
- Demonstrates organizational skills required for ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Shows basic budgeting skills and the ability to keep cleaning supplies and equipment stocked according to a budget.
- Exhibits the ability to teach others how to do their jobs in a friendly, courteous and effective manner.
- Is able to perform several tasks at the same time.
- Shows basic computer knowledge for the purposes of scheduling, recordkeeping and more.
**Work Environment**
A housekeeping supervisor is required to perform the same housekeeping tasks as the individuals they supervise, and the work environment will fluctuate based upon the needs of our clients. Workweeks are traditionally 40 hours and five days, but overtime may become necessary due to the changeable workload.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
