Yard Assistant

We are looking for a **Yard Sales Assistant** to join us at **Watling Reclamation**

Watling Reclamation is a prestigious, family run business built on traditional values. With such an extensive range of both new and reclaimed stock, we supply around £1 million worth of materials every year across the UK to those in the trade, retail customers, architects and property developers.

Over the past 12 years, we have made a name for ourselves as one of the leading architectural salvage destinations in the East Midlands, encouraging and promoting the importance of recycling and rejuvenation; evidence of which can be seen at the business park of our sister company Pury Hill Ltd. In order for us to continue growing our business, we are currently recruiting passionate and motivated individuals to join a small but dynamic team that will drive sales and ensure our customer service and standards remain head and shoulders above the rest.

From flagstones to fireplaces, statues to slates, bricks to birdbaths and timber to troughs, our product ranges are forever growing and changing, meaning this would be an ideal position for someone who enjoys a highly varied role in a fast paced environment.

As a Yard Sales Assistant, you will predominantly work alongside the Yard Supervisor and report directly to the Branch Manager

**Position Details**:

- 40 hours per week including Saturdays (no Sundays)
- 07:30-17:00 Monday to Friday. Saturdays 09:30-16:30 + day in lieu

**Responsibilities Include but are not limited to**:

- Working alongside the Yard Supervisor to ensure standards are adhered to
- Assisting all customers in the yard and loading customer vehicles
- Picking customer orders in a timely manner
- Merchandising stock and ensuring products are kept tidy and stored safely
- Taking telephone calls and dealing with enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Adhering to health & safety policies and quality standards
- Safeguarding against loss and theft of stock by being security conscious at all times
- Supporting with incoming deliveries, making sure stock in the yard & warehouse is put away correctly and kept tidy in line with Health & Safety guidelines
- Over the counter sales enquiries
- Processing customer orders
- Assisting Office staff with general duties such as stock and sales enquiries
- General yard duties and housekeeping

**Role Requirements**:

- Full UK Driving License (essential)
- Good communication skills (essential)
- Good level of fitness (essential)
- Building Trade knowledge (preferable)
- Experience in a customer facing role (preferable)
- FLT experience (preferable)
