Support Worker

You will assist the Manager in the daily operation of the semi-independent homes. This will require you to perform some administrative work, take part in regular Health & Safety inspections, attend appointments with service users and to ensure that the general appearance of each unit are kept clean and hazard free.
You will assist in the provision of a flexible and individual level of support sufficient to meet the needs of Young People aged 16+ leaving care or at risk, assisting them to develop life skills necessary for moving into independent living and young adults.
To deliver practical, therapeutic and structured support as directed by the Manager and senior support worker.
To facilitate the move to independent living within a safe and secure environment, while providing flexible levels of support to meet individual needs.
In the absence of the Manager to be the main point of contact for both internal and external clients at all supported living facilities as directed by senior staff.
To carry out all functional duties for the services managed.
To maintain computerised & manual records securely, appropriately, accurately and promptly.
To maintain service user’s confidentiality at all times in line with data protection legislation and company policy.
To ensure that all policies, procedures and relevant legislations are adhered to.
To encourage and empower service users to meet their objectives and achieve full potential.
To promote the supported living and outreach supports services to potential users.
To develop an effective and respectful partnership with service users so that they can participate fully in the management of their homes and move into independent community living.
To contribute to the development and implementation of crosscutting initiatives, in line with the companies ‘one team’ philosophy.
**Salary**: From £10.22 per hour
