**About us**:
Oxfordshire County Council is recruiting a full time Assistant Coroner's Officer to provide investigative support to HM Senior Coroner and the Coroner's Officers in Oxfordshire. You will be responsible for non-complex death investigations; treasure finds and will act as Court Officer during inquest hearings in the Coroner's Court.

**About the role**:
This is a public facing role in which you will be dealing with members of the public at emotional and distressing times of their lives so, a sensitive, empathetic approach is essential. You may be required to facilitate viewings and formal identification of deceased persons on behalf of HM Senior Coroner.

**About you**:
We are seeking someone who is quick to learn, highly motivated and professional with excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills.

Previous experience of investigation and a knowledge of medical terminology and procedures would be desirable.
