**Head of HR & Volunteering**:

- Location:Based at our Animal Welfare Centre near Lewes, East Sussex
- Time of Day:37.5 hours per week (with remote/home working available)
- Closing Date:12th May 2023

**This is a great opportunity for an experienced and ambitious HR professional to join Raystede, the animal welfare charity in Sussex.**

You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and work as part of our Senior Management Team to ensure we achieve our strategic aims. You will be responsible for all aspects of HR and volunteer management. The post-holder will ensure that the charity is effectively resourced as well as providing advice, ensuring compliance and managing the full employee and volunteer life cycles.

**About you**

We are looking for someone who is passionate about animal welfare and can demonstrate:

- Ability to work with and partner across the SMT and advise on organisational development.
- Substantial knowledge of all aspects of UK employment law.
- CIPD qualified.
- Experience of establishing and leading organisation-wide HR initiatives and complex projects.
- A strong interest in or experience of building a volunteer workforce.
- Excellent project planning skills.
- Confidence and flair to influence and negotiate where needed with all stakeholders.
