**Associate Banker**
**London**

As a Barclays Associate Banker, you’ll support and contribute to the growth of one or more client portfolios across UK Corporate Banking. You’ll work closely with Bankers and other Associate Bankers to proactively develop and maintain new and existing client relationships. You will play a crucial role in enabling our journey to become the Banker of choice for our clients’ Corporate and Investment Banking needs, whilst developing the skills and product knowledge to build a career as a Corporate Banker.

**Hybrid Working**
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Supporting colleagues manage client portfolios and helping them to develop and maintain trusted relationship
- Using & embedding wider central support tools and enablers e.g. Siebel/client servicing, challenge servicing request demand from colleagues. Promoting the use of e-channels
- Implementing a robust contact strategy to improve client satisfaction & handling, recording and preventing customer complaints in line with regulatory requirements
- Supporting accurate pipeline management especially around debt and acquisition
- Providing additional client contact to embed usage of relevant digital solutions recommending peripheral solutions to make clients lives easier
- Taking personal accountability for your own development in order that you can be the best you can be, using development tools and actively sharing your skills and knowledge
- Improving and maintaining high client satisfaction scores by providing exceptional service

**What we’re looking for**:

- A track record of delivering results through building relationships
- Excellent customer relationships & internal network relationships
- Experience in client service & communication
- Planning and organisational skills

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Qualified or working towards Professional Study Qualifications e.g. IFS (not essential)
- Knowledge of lending related activity (not essential)
- Knowledge of Corporate Banking and role of segments within this (not essential)
