Fire Safety Advisor

We are currently recruiting for one permanent role and two 24 month fixed term positions.

The Band 6 Fire Safety Adviser assumes a pivotal role, working closely with the Principal Fire Officer to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive fire safety programs and policies. With a primary objective of ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and NHS facilities, this role encompasses a range of critical responsibilities.
**Your key responsibilities will be**:
Conduct thorough assessments of fire risks and develop strategies for effective mitigation.
Facilitate fire safety training programs and conduct regular fire drills to ensure preparedness and adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain effective communication with pertinent authorities, including local fire services, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Support the Principal Fire Officer in discharging responsibilities ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, NHS HTM05:01, and other associated guidance.
Provide and receive information regarding fire safety legislation, staying abreast of updates and amendments to enhance the Trust's adherence to standards.
