Recycling Operative

The Best Connection are recruiting for **Recycling Operatives** on behalf of our client based in **Gateshead**. The company is a global expert in waste sectors and operates multiple recycling sites consisting of waste disposal locations and transfer stations which manage residual waste.

**The role**:

- Greeting users upon arrival and asking which type of waste they are disposing of
- Advising on which skips to use
- Ensuring there is no cross contamination of waste
- Assisting users when required
- General housekeeping duties (e.g cleaning spillages)

**Shift pattern and pay**:

- Winter Hours (October - March): Mon - Fri 09:00am - 17:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 09:00am - 18:00pm
- Summer Hours (April - September): Monday - Sunday 09:00am - 18:00pm
- 34.5 hrs per week average
- 4 weeks of 5 days on then 3 days off / 3 weeks of 4 days on then 4 days off
- 7 week rota to cover Wrekenton and Blaydon. Will be at Wrekenton for the first few weeks to learn the role and be monitored on performance and time keeping.
- £9.95 per hour (all hours worked)
