**You must have proven experience of**:

- Working as a kitchen porter in a kitchen environment
- Use of utensil washers

**It also helps if you have**:

- 2-3 years’ experience in a kitchen environment
- HACCP & COSH knowledge

Kitchen porters support the overall operations of the Food & Beverage department by providing support to the kitchen & front of house teams. Kitchen porters are direct representatives of Sage Gateshead. Kitchen Porters provide functional support to the rest of the Food & Beverage team, ensure that cleanliness & hygiene standard are met across the main Food & Beverage areas.

**Your responsibilities**:
**Operational Duties**
- To ensure that hygiene standards are met and exceeded
- To ensure all crockery, cutlery & kitchen equipment are cleaned efficiently & appropriately.
- To ensure all the Kitchen surfaces, walls & floors are cleaned and regularly maintained
- To find appropriate storage for cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with protocols.
- Regularly emptying bins & dispose of in appropriate external bins (i.e. food, recycling)
- Maintaining storage rooms & ensure all products are easily accessible.
- Collecting & signing for deliveries when required
- Assisting with stock rotation
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene measures

**General**
- Develop an excellent knowledge of Sage Gateshead’s programme and audience
- Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols
- Adhere to GDPR guidelines
- Any other duties as reasonably requested of you in your role
