The National Youth Agency is delighted to be recruiting for a Youth Work Specialist - Academy

**What we do**

All young people deserve a productive, fulfilling future. Society needs the spark and energy of young people to make it tick, yet somehow thousands of young people feel blocked by the complex, sometimes disheartening challenges the modern world throws at them.
As the national body for youth work, NYA has a dual function. We are the professional, statutory, and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. In line with our charity mission and aims, we also champion youth work through research, advocacy, campaigns, and programmes.

**About the Role**

We are recruiting for an experienced youth work professional to develop our youth work training, activities and programmes. The Youth Work Specialist will be able to deliver consultancy, training, and developmental support for the NYA's customers across the breadth of all we do.
The Youth Work Specialist will develop new programmes and products for the NYA to build the youth sector, supported by the Learning and Development Manager. The post will require significant networking and engagement across the sector and beyond to ensure the NYA's work is rooted in the needs of young people and youth work
The Youth Work Specialist Team are expert trainers and facilitators. They can support the development of knowledge and skills; deliver innovative and engaging projects that benefit youth work and young people; and work with colleagues from the NYA and the wider field to ensure that youth work is promoted and protected, for the benefit of all young people.
The Youth Work Specialist will ensure the NYA is at the forefront of developing its products and services.
At the heart of the role is a commitment to our people first culture. We operate as an online digital organisation with all our staff working remotely. Our flexible working hours means our staff can work in a way that supports a healthy life work balance and we focus on the output and outcomes as opposed to a clocking on and clocking off culture.

**About you**The Youth Work Specialist will develop and deliver training along with the development of programmes (including accredited training). You will develop new products and services for the NYA and clients who commission the NYA to develop tools and products for them.
You will work collaboratively alongside learners to support and monitor their progress through regular reviews and assessments and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of resources and processes.
