Reporting to the Procurement Officer, you will provide a high level of administrative procurement support that will ensure all objectives in the LSTM group finance strategy are met or exceeded. You will be a proactive member of a team that provides a quality procurement service to ensure value for money for LSTM and its subsidiaries. To ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures.

Whilst we want you to bring your own innovative ideas and creativity to this role, there are some key topic areas we’ll need you to focus on:

- Provide advice and support to relevant parties in complying with procurement policy, promote suppliers, offers, exhibitions and participation of good practice via digital platforms, whilst assisting in the design and delivery of a procurement training programme for staff and suppliers to develop procurement skills and understanding.
- Assist in tenders and contract management processes, specifically assisting in the delivery of area of expenditure specific strategies, liaising with contracted suppliers to negotiate good value for money and ensure smooth delivery of goods and services.
- Schedule regular and structured contract meetings with key suppliers and users to obtain performance feedback from end users where appropriate.
- Support the Procurement Officer in carrying out tenders on the eTendering system, manage and promote catalogues available on the eprocurement system, in addition to managing the day-to-day functions of the eProcurement system - including the review of requisitions, support for users, catalogue price approvals, reporting and other day-to-day tasks.
- Support in ensuring that Equality and Diversity principles are embedded within procurement activity and the LSTM supply chain, in addition to sustainable and responsible procurement principles.

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate:

- GCSEs or equivalent graded C or above including English Language.
- Proven professional development in relevant areas.
- Experience of using finance and procurement systems, with knowledge of procurement policies and procedures including the requisition process - whilst achieving value for money when sourcing products.
- Excellent organisation skills, especially setting priorities, managing time whilst working with teams in complex organisational structures with a high degree of accuracy to detail.
