**THE ROLE** _(how the position fits in the organisation)_

We are looking to hire a spirited Head of Operations to take our organisation's operations to the next level. The role will encourage an engaged senior management team and guard our values. You will analyze data and metrics to evaluate staff performance, lead and encourage employees to maximize performance, and ensure a strong talent pipeline. You will collaborate with human resources to create and implement succession plans for key management and supervisors and advance cohesion between various internal departments.

You will have extensive knowledge of CFM (continuous flow manufacturing
- Lean) principles and have implemented it in a non-CFM facility. Knowledge of Pull-System Scheduling and Single Piece Flow strategies, JIT Supply Chain strategies as well as overall minimization of working capital inventory in “the system” is required.

Working knowledge of financial impacts of operations to the P&L, Statement of Cash Flows and Balance Sheet is expected. Knowing the operational levers to drive financial performance are an important aspect of the role.

- Playing a leading role in compiling company budget and growth strategy.
- Executing strategies to optimize company growth.
- Ensuring expertise and effectiveness across operating platforms.
- Implementing initiatives to reduce company costs.
- Creating financial reports.
- Driving employees and leading performance reviews, to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce.
- Initiating better business practices.
- Collaborating with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability.
- Ensuring adherence to key performance objectives (KPI’s) to meet business and customer expectations.

**SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS** _(hard skills: education, previous experience and soft skills: communication, problem solving)_
- Bachelor's degree in business administration.
- CFM/Lean Certification
- Experience managing a complex enterprise's, finances, operations, or strategies.
- Proven ability to manage budgets in a similar role.
- Proficient operational and financial acumen.
- Strong ethical leadership abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong people and organizational skills.
- Ability to make projections three years into the future.
