**Salary Range - £27,915 - £30,375 (based on full time hours)**

**This role is part time working 22 hours per week with some flexibility on which days you work Monday - Friday. You will be able to combine some home working with office-based time where required.

As a Professional Development Adviser you can make a real difference in supporting our people in developing the right skills and behaviours to deliver an outstanding police service, keep people safe and fight crime.
**What will I be doing?
**Working within a local Professional Development Unit you will provide professional advice and support services to managers and individuals on people development, learning activities, assessment and accreditation.
Whilst you will be supporting people in their career across a number of professional development, leadership and apprenticeship programmes, initially you will focus on supporting and overseeing the progress of student officers in meeting learning outcomes,competencies and performance standards for different police officer entry routes including the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship.
Above all you will have the opportunity to champion continuous professional development and foster an inclusive learning environment for all our people.**What do I need?
**We are looking for someone who is;
- Experienced in a people development role in a learning environment
- Knowledgeable and experienced in carrying out training needs analysis, identifying development needs and designing relevant solutions
- Experienced in competency assessment and feedback
- Able to evaluate development activities

It’s great if you’ve got knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks as well as coaching and mentoring experience but it’s not essential, so please don’t let that put you off from applying
**Vetting level**:Recruitment Vetting (RV)
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
