We are looking for a dedicated and reliable person to join our team, to provide administrative support to our visually impaired client in Horsham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to use existing skills to make a difference.

The role involves working one to one with our client, providing administrative support to facilitate their own professional role at a Communications officer working for Retina UK.

**About the Role: -**

As the Administrative Support Worker your responsibilities will include:

- Working with our client to create and build an online image library.
- Providing research information at the clients request
- Support the client to a work meeting in Buckingham once a month
- Assist the client with sighted guide and navigation when requested
- Potentially driving our client to various charity and other events supporting their role (when required)
- Taking and typing up detailed notes when directed
- Inputting information and data into a database system (training provided) to add and amend records
- General ad hoc administrative/ supportive duties
- The role allows for flexibility to work between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Support may be required on weekends
- The client will need support to training sessions and other events on occasions

**About You**

It is essential that you can demonstrate:

- An excellent understanding of Microsoft programmes, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams and adaptive to learn the company database
- A relaxed and easy-going personality with a very high level of written/verbal communication and professionalism
- Have, or willing to obtain a valid up-to-date DBS and be able to provide proof of update service
- Have a full UK Driving License and access to own car with business class insurance (optional)
- Demonstrate a high level of trust, integrity with a good understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Punctual, organised, and reliable
- Be able to work well within a wider social care team.
- Flexible to travel to different local areas and Buckingham once a month
- Excellent observational skills
- Adaptable to change
- Excellent understanding of English and Maths, with suitable qualifications i.e. GCSE’s or equivalent
- Would be beneficial to have an understanding of visual impairment or prior experience.
- Flexible availability 7 days a week

**Pay, Hours and Benefits**

In return you will be paid £14.35 per hour, working hours are up to 20 hours per week.
Holiday entitlement paid and an employer’s contribution to a workplace pension.
