Butler Rose is proud to be working with a small, friendly accountancy practice located in Milton Keynes, looking for a Payroll, Pensions & VAT Assistant to help support on a portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a varied role within a great team environment and has experience in a similar role ideally from accountancy practice.
**Responsibilities**:
- Supporting in managing a portfolio of clients and ensure timely and accurate payroll, pensions and VAT processing
- Maintain pension records and assist with pension scheme administration
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with VAT compliance
- Liaise with clients and provide guidance on payroll, pensions and VAT queries
- Assist with bookkeeping and general accounts administration
**Requirements**:
- Ideally AAT, ATT or CIPP qualified
- Experience in payroll, pensions and VAT management is essential
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
