**Head of Occupational Health & Wellbeing**

As part of the Group leadership team this role will lead on the management of Bakkavor’s Occupational Health and Wellbeing activities in support of the delivery of the People Plan and Wellbeing strategy.

As a senior strategic partner in the business, you will have full responsibility for transforming Bakkavor’s approach to Occupational Health and Wellbeing and you will play a key role in helping establish and maintain the highest standards across the business, helping to build Bakkavor’s future capability and reputation as an employer of choice.
- Overseeing and implementing our OH & Wellbeing strategy across the organisation. This will include formulation of the OH & Wellbeing strategy, taking input from all key stakeholders across the business. Responsible for developing and agreeing the longer-term Health and Wellbeing plan which supports the aims of the Group People Plan.
- As well as providing clear strategic and tactical leadership to your team, you will also need to work collaboratively across all functions, building and maintaining excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement a new OH system and move OH from a paper note led service to all online. Lead the implementation of this system and embed it within the business units. Ensuring access to real time data whilst maintain employee confidentiality.
- Ensure the OH & Wellbeing function complies with all corporate governance, industry best practice standards and in all requirements in relation to risk, quality, GDPR and medical confidentiality.
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery through development of appropriate service KPIs. Implementing a reporting structure, identifying improvements and achievements as well as risks and issues and mitigating actions to address. Ensure that external contracts, where used, are resourced appropriately, and meet service delivery KPIs.
- Lead the review and implementation of the OH and Wellbeing policy, including all supporting procedures. Work towards achieving the SEQOHS Accreditation Standard (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health service).
- Develop a structure providing constructive feedback to the team that recognises achievement, innovation, and service improvement. Foster a culture that encourages the team to identify any risks, issues and implementing change from lessons learnt to continuously improve the service provision.
- Regularly present to internal and external groups on the health and wellbeing of the workforce and the plan and progress to improve this. Ensure all teams within Bakkavor have the tools to support the OH and Wellbeing agenda, with policy, procedure and training available to compliment this.

**About you**
- Expert in leading Occupational Health operations both strategically and tactically, with a focus on collaborative working with the ability to initiate and operationalise changes in procedures and policies to continuously improve the Occupational Health and Wellbeing service provision.
- Proven success & passion for driving and maintaining a high level of occupational health best practice.
- Experience manging a UK wide OH agenda in businesses of scale, complexity, and high volume with an international footprint.
- Experience of managing and developing health related programmes, including a proven track record of delivery that demonstrates changes in behaviour, managing and working within budgets and be able to demonstrate partnership working from previous roles.
- A strong relationship builder able to collaborate, influence and drive engagement.
- In depth experience of talent and performance frameworks.
