Domus have an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Regional Manager to join one of the largest providers of childcare in the UK with more than 80% of services rated ‘GOOD’ or ‘OUTSTANDING’ by OFSTED.
Based in Shropshire, you will be responsible for management oversight of a small portfolio of Children’s Residential Homes with the potential aim to open new homes in the future
You will be responsible for directing Service Managers to achieve the highest levels of performance to meet and exceed the group’s quality standards, resulting in unmatched levels of support provided to the young people within our care.
You must hold a UK Driving License and have access to your own vehicle which can be used for business purposes as you will need to be able to travel across Shropshire.
**Regional Managerresponsibilities**:

- To be a role model providing professional leadership and guidance to Service Managers ensuring effective management and financial control.
- Monitor standards of Service Managers’ performance, dealing appropriately with and shortcomings, and provide opportunities for them to comply with educational and training requirements.
- Ensure management of the home is outstanding and reflects the Statement of Purpose as defined in the Ofsted SCCIF and detailed within Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
- Ensure identified actions are taken following the monthly quality audits to improve any areas of poor practice.
- Provide managerial supervision to Service Managers and to formally record sessions and agreed aims / outcomes.
- Be proactive in ensuring that safeguarding is a key priority within each service and region.
- Be able to confidently assess children’s needs and changes in presenting behaviour and risk and take appropriate action
- Ensure service managers maintain agreed staffing levels while staff costs are kept within budgetary limits.
- Provide leadership and coaching in childcare practice within the home to ensure best outcomes for children and young people.
- Mentor and support the leadership team in your setting and Residential support staff in provision of best possible childcare practices.
- Minimum of 5 years managerial experience as service/department manager for vulnerable people.
- Leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience of undertaking and implementing risk assessments
- Understanding of Safeguarding issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
