**General Teaching Assistant**

We work with a Primary School in Quedgeley, Gloucester, who are needing a General Teaching Assistant. This will be on a full time basis, so will be Monday to Friday with the hours being 8.30-3.30. It is ongoing until the end of the academic year. Ideally you will be able to start as soon as possible as the school needs someone now. The role itself will working in a Year 1 classroom, supporting the Class Teacher. This role will involve some work with SEN as well.

The school is a Primary Academy and is linked to various schools across Gloucester, and so has a great team of people behind it, meaning excellent resources and support. The school is trying to better the level of education for pupils and so they need someone who is happy to commit to this ethos. You must be a real team player and reliable. Previous experience is essential for this role, as you need to be able to get stuck straight into the role and use your initiative.

**What will you do on a daily basis?**
- Support the teacher in the classroom and in preparation for lessons.
- Support children in their educational and social development.
- Provide extra support for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Provide extra support for pupils with English as an additional language.
