The Councils Valuation and Strategic Assets team (VASA) is looking to recruit a Head of Asset Management for the Directorates portfolio on a fixed term contract to cover maternity Leave.

The role provides support and expert advice to teams and departments within the Council including Children's, Adults, Housing, Libraries, Education and Parks, as well as working closely with the Council’s external partners such as the NHS.

**Qualifications**:

- MRICS qualified.

**Skills & Experience**:

- At least five years’ experience of all landlord and tenant issues.
- Confident advising internal and external clients on all aspects of leasing and general estate management work as well as being familiar with writing reports and presenting to senior management and cabinet members.
- Able to turn reports around quickly and accurately.
- Experience at working at this level and are familiar with a political environment as well as being a seasoned line manager.
- Experience working on operational and Education buildings would be useful.
- IT literate and conversant with computerised IT system development.
