Meraki Talent are recruiting exclusively for one of their Manufacturing client's to appoint a Cost Accountant. Our client are market leaders in their field and boast a significantly growing international customer base.
The Role
This position will allow the individual to gain experience working in an international finance department in a fast-growing, Bio-materials med-device
company, and be involve with multiple aspects of US Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and local Financial Reporting Standards FRS
102 monthly reporting process, serve as the lead for all matter AR related
including generating invoices, Customer setup, and collections. This role will
also play a key part in Project Accounting to manage revenue recognition and
matching expenses for our development projects.
Some of the responsibilities will include:

- Drive Cost Accounting Reporting and Processes with support from UK Financial Controller and US Sr. Cost Accountant as needed
- Perform and assist with month-end financial close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and internal and statutory reporting.
- Manage Inter-company transactions and reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
- Process, monitor, and review asset additions, transfers, and disposals including any annual reporting need to auditors or parent company.
- Process and reconcile credit card receipts with merchant bank statements
- Prepare VAT Returns and other government filings for review by the UK Controller as needed
- Assist in producing appropriate audit support per external auditors requests as necessary
Experience Required
- Part Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel user
- Desire to improve and enhance processes
- Strong attention to detail
