We are seeking a Sales Support Assistant (SSA) to work out of our Bracknell Head Office as part of the Pre-Sales Team in actively supporting the Sales Team with architecting, scoping, pricing and selling contracts. To actively promote the sharing of best-practice, standard commercial models and information between members of the team in order to maximise productivity and achievement of company objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a good level of understanding of A&O IT, the core service offerings and capabilities and specifically its value propositions
- Assist the Account Managers with the preparation of proposals to include description of service, scope and deliverables, service level agreements, contract terms and pricing
- Assist service delivery/project teams at commencement of new contracts.
- Day-to-day management of the pre-sales admin support function:

- Prioritising activities and bids/opportunities
- Allocation and monitoring of tasks
- Works with the Solution team to help with processes and procedures
- Assistance in the identification of standard tools for remote desktop management, infrastructure management and monitoring, asset tracking etc
- Instigation of and participation in workshops to agree future development of managed service offerings cyber security and infrastructure solutions
- Support the bid review/management function by helping to qualify opportunities and review bids in progress. Proactively plan resource requirements by working closely with sales people, sales management and bid manager
- Conducting market research to identify opportunities, understand and evaluate customer needs
- To establish and build effective long-term professional relationships at all levels in the organisations
- Work as part of a virtual team to contribute to and participate in the development and improvement of propositions and offerings
- Assist in the administration of detailed Sales Plan to:

- Identify and target growth accounts
- Establish a balanced pipeline of qualified sales opportunities in line with the Companys qualification criteria and shape determined by the sales plan
- Identify opportunities through on-site A&O IT teams
- Identify any personal development requirements to achieve the targets
- Assist in the construction of detailed Account Plan for all accounts
- Consistent achievement of key performance indicators
- Comply with the Companys bid and sales pursuit policies ensuring accurate completion of key sales management framework supporting tools
- Input and maintenance of all key client, contact, opportunity, activity, notes and forecast information on CRM
- Provide admin support in the preparation of bid responses, quotes and contracts in conjunction with the Solution & Bid team
- Ensure formal business processes are adhered to and that all statements of works and supporting sales documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Develop effective interdepartmental working relationships to support achievement of key responsibilities
- Maintain current market knowledge and intelligence

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Expected to bring substantial market experience, current knowledge and be quickly able to identify and prioritise key projects and tasks
- Proven Sales support experience in IT industry and associated solution sales into the end-user market
- Gravitas and experience of supporting to Senior Management, IT Director and CxO levels within an organisation and an understanding of the different approaches required to address each
- Ability to assist in the creation of clear account plans
- Commercial awareness and appreciation of business fundamentals
- Able to communicate convincingly to customers over the telephone and face to face
- Ability to manage complex customer engagements to ensure that the value of the A&O IT proposition is positioned correctly to meet the clients needs.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills including oral and written
- Ability to build strong and long-term relationships both internally and externally
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure unsupervised
- Organised, able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- Action orientated and a self-starter
- Excellent Sales Skills -qualifying, quantifying and closing deals
- Good software knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of using Sales Force CRM tool
