**Based at our depots in Carlisle or Burradon**
We have two exciting opportunities to join our well-established Carlisle or Burradon depot as a TOTEX Lead Planner.
**Role Purpose**
- Attend regular Highway Authority co-ordination meetings to review programme of works and discuss any conflicts with other utilities, highways etc
- Managing all planning workstreams such as Depot/ REPEX/Data admin, data closure, surveying activities and planning
- Mitigate against the potential backlog of workload; ensuring the management and delegation of work activities
- Ensuring dates agreed with customers are achieved
- Liaise with NGN customer and stakeholder team to ensure all projects are programmed to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Ensure all works have the required notification issued to the Highway Authority, Rail track, Waterways etc. to allow works to commence without delays
- Review programme of works weekly with Contract Management team to ensure the programme of works can be delivered within budget assumptions
- Monitor daily / weekly outputs for all work against programme of works and provide summary information to Site Managers'
- Liaise daily with Site Managers to review daily outputs and monitor the customer notification requirements for future works to achieve GSOS notification requirements
- Accountable for continually monitoring, reviewing and implementing the most effective and efficient ways of working to deliver the planning workstreams
- Introduce SLA's for delivery of work, aligned to customer expectation
- Issue requests for road closures / temporary traffic orders to Highway Authority and or stakeholders within required timescales

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Working in line with company policies to manage
- sickness absence, poor performance/conduct; initiating disciplinary action where required. Escalating complex disciplinary matters to the BOL/Operations Manager for input, guidance or direct involvement
- Ability to create an environment where good performance is rewarded, and poor performance is addressed in line with NGN's performance process
**Experience**
- Good knowledge of NGN's replacement requirements under RIIO-GD1
- Good awareness and working knowledge of NGN's Policies & Procedures associated with Networks planning, design, validation and pipe replacement/reinforcement
- Excellent communication skills covering verbal, written and numeric
- Highly analytical with the ability to identify root cause and develop corrective action plans
- Ability to prioritise work to meet deadline required and review daily priorities and take appropriate action to ensure results are achieved
- Experienced in the interpretation of MAPS, design drawings and schematics is an advantage.
- Methodical and thorough approach to work
- People management skills - with the ability to develop and sustain good performance.
- Good user of Microsoft Office packages
- Working knowledge of SAP and an ability to interrogate the system
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Experience of using planning tools such as Primavera or MS Project
