**About The Role**:
**Help us to support some of the most vulnerable people in Doncaster as they progress from being homeless, to being supported towards independent living. Doncaster Foyer is supported housing for young people aged 16-25 years. Working hours can be negotiable and flexible.**

**About the Role of Volunteer**:
At Saha, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement for people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation. As a volunteer you will need to:

- Get to know and build the trust of our clients
- Help clients to live independently
- Encourage participation in social and leisure programmes
- Support residents with the practicalities of everyday living
- Deliver Discovery college sessions in small groups, including cooking, baking, arts and crafts, well-being and any other skills or interests you can bring.

**About You**:
A volunteer will instinctively share Saha’s delivery values and behaviours, loving your work, helping people to thrive and always finding a way to be effective.

You will need to:

- Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations
- Be able to build trusting, professional relationships and have a high level of resilience.
- Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
- Have good knowledge or experience around supporting vulnerable people or groups.
- Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help our clients
