**Your role and responsibilities**

Your role as People Administrator will be to support the People team by providing associate lifecycle, onboarding, and system administration support, as well as leading the local payroll function. You will be a well-grounded and organised individual who is enthusiastic about driving change and delivering a first-class service to your colleagues.

This role would suit an experienced administrator with a passion for people and processes. Your responsibilities will include:
People Administration
- Maintain associate personnel files (electronic) in line with GDPR guidelines.
- Support the People team with onboarding tasks i.e., reference checking, assuring the prompt return of the pre-employment paperwork, right to work checks etc.
- Support the People team with new starter inductions.
- Assist in the preparation of associate lifecycle letters; leavers, flexible working requests, pay amendments, new appointments etc.
- Update annual leave and absence records on the HR system on a weekly basis.
- Assist the People team in general recruitment activity.
- Support the People team with note taking at investigation meetings.
- Assist in managing the People team mailbox and direct/deal with queries as appropriate.
- Provide support at the monthly AMVS Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meeting by taking confidential and accurate minutes.
- Assist the People team in general recruitment activity.

Payroll Administration
- Lead the local payroll function (supported by central payroll) by collecting, calculating, and entering data within group timelines.
- Ensure associate salary, FTE, shift changes and absence are reflected accurately and timely within the HR system.
- Process associate ad-hoc over-time using timesheet information, faster payments, and any relevant deductions.
- Assist in answering payroll/associate benefit queries in a timely manner.
- Manage the Payroll mailbox.

General
- To support the People team in the development of People strategy, policy, procedure and culture.
- To keep abreast of new and upcoming HR/Payroll legislation.
- To be a proactive and positive member of the People team and assisting with bringing the AMVS/Linnaeus values to life.
- To embrace change and new ways of working.
- To build effective and lasting relationships with all levels at AMVS/Linnaeus.
