We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Business Partner in our Commercial Services team to provide oversight, direction, and decision support for operations in our Port of Hull facility.

Core topics will be operating Business Administration processes, procedures, cost models, cost efficiency, pricing and systems for current operations whilst planning for future demand and capacity requirements.

**Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to**:

- Work as a business partner to the Ports and Harbor Services (P&HS) manager
- Develop, implement and operate financial procedures for area of responsibility
- Prepare forecast and budget information using system, organizational and stakeholder inputs. E.g. financial records, planning data, purchasing information and operational meetings
- Review, analyze and comment upon variances between actual results and forecasts / budgets
- Costing models (Price calculations) to support billing and tender calculations for P&HS
- Build business cases and options for the facility to meet future demands
- Develop risk and opportunities associated with scenarios including actions and mitigation.
- Use and develop digital solutions and automate processes to continually improve information quality and organizational insight
- Use information and reporting systems to identify preferable commercial solutions.
- Work with the Commercial Services team globally colleagues to solve problems, share best practice and provide a consistent approach
- Ensure financial statements reflect true and fair view of the department’s activities
- Ensure compliance with our Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG) and Risk and Internal Control (RIC) process

**What you need to make a difference**
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for
- You to hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or numerate discipline
- A professional accountancy qualification would be highly desirable
- Demonstrable significant experience in a commercial or financial position, ideally within a large scale and complex organization
- Experience of using SAP, Microsoft Office and Power BI
- You are a strong communicator who builds excellent working relationships with colleagues throughout the business
- You have a positive attitude towards challenges and continue to seek ways to make improvements
