With a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions, we are seeking a skilled and experienced PON Build Supervisor to join our team in Leicester (Office based - Edwalton, Nottingham)
**Role Overview**:
As a PON Build Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the construction and implementation of Passive Optical Network (PON) infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful deployment of fibre-optic networks to meet the growing demand for high-speed internet connectivity.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians and field engineers during PON network construction projects.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources effectively and manage project budgets.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine optimal PON network routes and installation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Monitor and report project progress, addressing any setbacks or challenges proactively.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.
- Ensure all team members are equipped with necessary PPE equipment and IT tools for efficient workflow.
- Mentor and train team members, fostering skill development and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of project activities, materials used, and work performed.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Significant experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of Passive Optical Networks (PON).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of fiber-optic network architecture, components, and deployment methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in project management, including resource allocation, budget management, and reporting.
- Effective communication skills, capable of interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards related to telecommunications infrastructure.
- Relevant technical certifications and qualifications are a plus.
