In Jam Coding we have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our team delivering Holiday Club activities in St Albans as a Team Leader.

This Holiday Club Team Leader role would suit a teaching, computing, childcare or business studies student looking to gain valuable experience working with young people who want to improve their leadership skills. It would equally be suitable for a Trainee Teacher or Teaching Assistant.

The Holiday Club will run from the 29th of July 2024 to the 23rd of August 2024 and the core hours will be from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Additionally, full training will be given to the successful applicant to enable them to deliver the club.
- Have experience leading activity camps for children between the ages of 5-12.
- Have experience managing challenging behaviour.
- Have a positive attitude to helping young people succeed through teamwork, confidence-building and exploration.
- Be committed and enthusiastic with a passion for childcare.
- Be able to organise activities.
- Be able to adapt quickly to change and be flexible.
- Be able to address large groups of young people.
- Be an excellent communicator who is well-organised and punctual.
- Be enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated at all times.
- Be passionate about inspiring young children and who has a positive can-do attitude.
- Have the ability to drive with its own vehicle.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, set up and lead a variety of engaging activities including sports and crafts.
- Supervise children during activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe, stimulating environment.
- Be vigilant and make sure all children are accounted for.
- Assist with meal times.
- Direct and collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Leave the venue clean and tidy at the end of the day, especially on the last day.

Certifications:

- Enhanced DBS on the children barred list.
- Safeguarding,
- Food safety & hygiene.
- Food allergy awareness.
- Emergency first aid.
- ADHD Awareness.
- Managing Challenging Behaviour.

We will assist with obtaining these certifications.

**SALARY**

£50 - £70 per day
