Alexander Steele is working in partnership with a leading producer of quality chilled and frozen food products supplied to retailers, food service, B2B, and Wholesale. Due to exciting growth in the UK, the business is now looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join them at their site in Hertfordshire.

**On offer**:

- Salary is £30,000 - £35,000 doe
- 25 days holiday

- Working Mon - Fri

**The role**:
The successful incumbent is tasked with the responsibility of implementing Quality Assurance policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying process issues and solutions across production and product. They will also be the go to food safety and environmental issues and handling complaints.
- The key responsibilities of the role include:

- Performing routine inspections and quality tests.
- Organising and control of lab analysis
- Working closely with other sites for product specifications and documentation.
- Dealing with external stakeholders for food safety, quality and importing
- Maintenance of QMS

**Experience & Skills Required**:
The business is looking for an individual who has experience within the food industry. You must be able to lead, motivate and drive continuous improvements whilst upholding the businesses beliefs and guiding principles.
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in a Technical or Quality position within a food manufacturing or Agent & broker business.
- Experience working with meat, poultry or seafood.
- A Food Science degree or equivalent
- HACCP Level 3 +
- Good working knowledge of BRC
- Auditing experience

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
