Jointer & Taper

DMOS People is currently recruiting for Jointers & Tapers in the Telford area.

Following substantial investment by leading global construction firm, they have a number of large projects in the pipeline and are looking to scale up the delivery capability with immediate effect. Hours of work are 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

Pay being £14.63

**All positions are permanent directly with the company. The job will not be through Agency**

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Sealing all joints between plasterboards
- Preparing wall and ceiling surfaces for painting
- Report all quality/design problems to the Production Supervisor
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation in addition to Risk Assessment and Procedures
- Ensure that all works are manufactured in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Ensure housekeeping standards are kept at the level required
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with quality systems and checks

**Experience and Knowledge required**:

- Be able to work at heights e.g. using steps and A-frame ladders
- Working at Height training certificate (preferred, but not essential)
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong team player
- Ability to take direction and to ask questions if unsure
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to use hand tools e.g. scrapers, batch pans and 10” and 12” jointing boxes
- Experience carrying out these or similar tasks
- Taping and Jointing Certificate (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent), is preferred but not essential
