We are looking for a Head of Production to manage our in-house production team.

This team is the first point of contact for all of DIT’s global creative production needs - from events to video to publications. The Head of Production will take a key leadership role in overseeing our production processes, ensuring quality control of content, and advising clients on how to get the best and most efficient outcomes for their needs.

We are looking for an extremely organised, experienced, creative and self-motivated individual to take on this challenging role. You will work in lockstep with our Head of Creative to support DIT’s always-on marketing needs, supporting UK businesses to export and helping attract high-value investment into the UK.

You will join an innovative team of content creators, designers, videographers, data journalists, brand specialists and curators pushing the bar for Government communications.

Expect to be part of a team that thrives on collaboration, always uses data to test and learn, experiments with new formats and continuously improves engagement.

It is essential for this person to have a passion for creative production, particularly video production, to support and improve the team’s output. Working at pace is an essential skill in this demanding - but highly rewarding - role.

**Job description**
- Oversight of all production briefs
- Prioritise production requests from across the department internationally, providing key input and feedback where needed
- Work with the Production Manager on the scheduling of projects for designers, content producers and videographers
- Ensuring our external stakeholders, creative agencies and print production agencies to deliver a wide range of projects
- Lead the team’s video production unit and provide strategic and technical guidance to colleagues
- Work closely with Marketing, Events, ministerial offices and other teams to support a wide variety of production and videography needs

**Hybrid Working**

The role can be based in London or Cardiff.

The role will require some travel, both within the UK and internationally.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas.

Informal hybrid working arrangements will be available as agreed with the vacancy manager and in line with the requirements of the role.

Most DIT employees will be working a hybrid pattern, spending 2-3 days a week (pro rata) in an office, on average. If your office location is London, you will be eligible to receive London weighting.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills and an enthusiasm for creative production
- Experience working with creative briefs and creative agencies/freelancers
- 3+ years experience with photo/video shoots or video editing
- Ability to prioritise, set realistic production timelines and get creative products delivered to deadline
- Line management experience

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience managing brands
- Experience with live event production
- Experience with the Adobe Creative suite
- Experience working with international clients
