We are excited to be recruiting to the crucial role of Performance Lead for the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology (SYBP) network.

SYBP is on a transformational journey to fully integrate existing pathology services, providing the best possible service for patients and clinicians across the Integrated Care System. It is our mission to deliver high-quality and innovative laboratory medicine solutions to patients, clinicians and partners to improve health, add value to patient care, safeguard best clinical outcomes and support the transformation of healthcare across SYB and beyond.

The Performance Lead will report to the Pathology Manager to support the strategic management and operational delivery of Pathology Services. Working with the Clinical Director, Operations Director, Scientific Director and Discipline Leads, the post holder will define service strategies and delivery of the operational plan, ensuring the effective implementation of national and local strategies and the achievement of service objectives.

The post holder will have previous experience in performance analysis and assurance within the NHS, developing performance and assurance systems and frameworks, have excellent analytical skills, be a dynamic and committed leader with an ability to drive a team to meet set requirements and deadlines.

The post holder will lead on the development and delivery of performance reporting, ensuring information is presented in an easily interpretable format to influence and guide service delivery and improvement, reflecting the needs of the organisation and stakeholders. They will lead the development and maintenance of the network-wide Performance Management and Assurance Framework to ensure clear accountability and governance of performance in the SYBP Partnership. The post will also support the modelling of demand and capacity of services to deliver future needs.

They will provide line management to the Operational Manager and of administrative staff and services in support of the provision of high-quality care, within a patient-centred environment.
