Motor Claims Specialist

**Who are we?**
Common sense says that the less someone drives, the less driving should cost them. And we agree. But back in 2018, the car insurance industry didn’t see it like that. So, we launched the UK’s first real-time pay-by-mile policies. Since then, we’ve had our members covered for a massive 500 million miles of driving. It’s been an epic journey (which is a bit ironic, since we’re helping people who don’t use their cars so much).
Along the way, we’ve gone from plucky newcomers, to being voted Best Car Insurance Provider 3 times in a row. Though we’re still very much doing things in our own, unique way - we’re now backed by Direct Line Group (alongside some of the country's best known brands)

**Claims Specialist**
As our Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently processing and managing motor insurance claims, ensuring our policyholders receive timely and accurate support during difficult times. The claims specialist deals with all claims fairly and promptly and in accordance with regulatory requirements and By Miles’s virtues, playing a critical role in upholding our commitment to exceptional customer experience.
**You’ll be a fantastic addition to By Miles if you have**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to correspond both verbally and written to exceptionally high standards
- Understanding of the claims customer journey and how the processes link together
- Demonstrable analytical skills, attention to detail capabilities, the ability to maintain accurate records
- The ability to empathise and use people’s feedback to improve day to day operations and processes
- Working knowledge of underwriting and compliance requirements and its nuances in first line insurance
- The ability to use data to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and automation
**Day to day you’ll be**:
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement improvements to our existing claims processes
- Supporting on larger cross functional projects as the expert of our claims processes
- Working with our Customer Experience team with training on claims process changes and investigating complex cases
- Working with insurers and FNOL providers to continually improve the claims experience for our members
- Providing auditing support - responding to any requests for MI, analysing insurer reports and member data
