We are recruiting for an eCommerce Junior Merchandiser to progress your career within a Global British footwear brand - the role would suit an experienced Assistant Merch who is ready for the next step, someone is currently working as a junior merch or evenan entry level merchandiser.
The ideal person for this role will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an assistant merchandiser or an entry level merchandiser in a similar role in a fashion retail business. You will have excellent analytical skills and love using Microsoft excel asan advanced level user. You will have strong commercial awareness with strong communication skills whilst remaining confident in a fast-paced environment. You will be an organised individual with the ability to work independently and handle responsibility.Your passion for trading, friendly and can-do attitude will make you a great team player. You will be comfortable operating in a self-starting environment with freedom to operate within strategic direction. You will be comfortable in challenging the statusquo in the buying and merchandising process. You will have a global mindset and be able to navigate global and local needs.
This role will suit someone with the skill set of a core assistant merchandiser and the drive of an online trader, that understands the key online KPI’s
The role involves supporting the trading manager to drive the D2C sales and trading plan, ensuring that the right product is available online and in store at the right time through predicting and monitoring sales trends and accurately controlling stock levels.You will work closely with the planning and logistics teams in order to maximise sales and profit through the effective management of stock by analysing, forecasting and trading product for D2C channels
SOME RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring of sales against forecast, identifying trends, changes in demand and working with trading team to plan promotional activity and seasonality into a demand plan.
- Maintain carryover lines using the in-house tool on season-to-season basis.
- Work with the head of department to drive an agile planning & selection strategy in line with overall assortment strategy and goals (FP/MD mix, Carryover/ Seasonal mix, Category mix and growth.
- Maintain and develop the end-to-end planning process.
- Set up the D2C Buy plans for each market, options, quantification, and stock selection for all markets.
- Plan, manage & secure order placements in the inhouse planning tool.
- Work in close collaboration with the e-Com trading, product merch, and wholesale account managers.
The role is hybrid working - 2 days in the office / 3 days working from home
