Carpet Fitter

Lang & Potter are the market leader in the design and manufacture of marine furniture and furnishings including cutting edge helm seat design and manufacture. We work for some of the largest international brands in the marine industry and work hard to research, develop and detail products at the highest level.

Working as part of a team to first and final fit carpets to a high standard, quickly and efficiently on Yachts.

**Main Duties**

First and final fit of carpets to Yachts - 40ft to 40mtrs

Cutting, shaping and fitting of underlay, carpet and acoustic

Installing grippers

Measuring carpets to plan and collecting from the warehouse

Working with chemical adhesives and sprays on carpets

Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times, abiding to the rules and requirements

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements are met to provide safe working practices at all times

There may be a requirement to edge carpets as requested (training supplied)

Follow 6s procedures across the carpet fitting department

Ensure best working practices are adhered to at all times

Deal with snags and fix problems as required

Pay negotiable upon experience.
