Head of Resource Planning

The Head of Resource Planning is responsible for ensuring that a high-quality service is provided by the team which supports the achievement of both national and local key performance indicators (KPIs) through effective and efficient rostering.
You will provide leadership and expert advice in relation to all rostering policies and procedures, agency and supplier terms and conditions, workforce planning and electronic systems.
In addition, you will be required to build close working relationships with key stakeholders including Operations, Finance and Human Resources to ensure the service provided is efficient, patient focused and supports the organizational and service level objectives.
**Key responsibilities**
- Develop and monitor policies, procedures and internal KPIs for our rostering function and provide regular progress reports for the organisation.
- Examine, analyse, and model complex statistical service demand and capacity information to enable strategic planning and forecasting for individual PC24 services.
- Take operational lead for the organisation wide reduction in agency spend.
- Promote use of bank over agency, including sharing expert knowledge and advice on the clinical and non-clinical risks and shortfalls of agency usage and influencing agency spend reduction.
- Deliver agreed skill mix across all services working with nursing and pharmacy leads to introduce appropriate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Support and monitor the use of financial resources against an agreed budget for the team.
**About you**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience working as a senior manager
- Previous senior management experience within a healthcare setting - minimum 3 years’ experience
- Experience of using an electronic rostering system such as Rotamaster
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Good understanding of resource planning methods
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate into a service delivery context
- Experience of managing significant financial budgets

**Hours**
37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm.
**Closing date**:6th of December, 17:00 with interviews scheduled for the 14th of December 9am to 4pm.
