An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Casual Market Superintendent to provide cover for Ormskirk Market on Thursdays, Saturdays and at events.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to develop proactive working relationships with market traders, local businesses, the public as well as colleagues and external partners. You must have a passion for customer service, be confident, helpful and enthusiastic as well as having good organisational skills and be able to work under pressure.

We are looking for a pool of people who can be called upon to provide cover, sometimes at short notice. As a casual worker you would not be under any obligation to accept any hours offered, nor would the Council be under obligation to offer any. If you can be flexible when you work this could be the role for you.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo security checks as part of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard for accessing Government records. This will include a Basic DBS check.

Please be advised that a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position with West Lancashire Borough Council.
