Transport Planner

Bannister Transport are a family owned, leading provider in the Temperature Controlled Distribution market place, based in the Vale of Evesham.

Due to continued and sustained growth we are currently looking to further expand our Planning team to support our expanded Customer base.

**Description**

As a Transport Planner (Collections), you will be responsible for overseeing the collection and delivery of goods, optimizing routes, and maximizing the efficiency of our transport operations. You will work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while providing exceptional customer service.

**Responsibilities**
- Plan and schedule collection and delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely transportation of goods
- Collaborate with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to determine the most effective routes and resolve any operational issues
- Monitor and track deliveries to ensure on-time delivery and update customers or stakeholders as necessary
- Conduct regular analysis to optimize routes, reduce transportation costs, and improve overall operational efficiency
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of deliveries, and customer interactions
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner
- Participate in regular meetings and provide recommendations for process improvements

**Desired Experience**
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner or a strong desire to learn
- Knowledge of transport regulations and best practices
- Strong IT skills (MS Office) essential
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Please note we will only consider applicants within 20 miles radius of Evesham as this is an office based role.

We offer a salary of £29000-£32000 depending on experience.
