Isle of Wight, United Kingdom Isle of Wight NHS Trust Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support within the Children in Care and Adoption team.

The Children in Care service (CiC) is for any child or young person aged under 18 years old who are in care or accommodated. The child or young person may live with foster carers, in residential homes, residential school, secure units, or with family members away from the family home.

There is a statutory requirement for each child or young person to have a holistic health assessment by a doctor within the first 28 days of becoming Looked After. Over 5’s are seen annually by a CiC Nurse unless they have complex health needs and under 5’s are seen every 6 months by a Health Visitor.

The post holder will work as part of the team to provide an effective and efficient admin service to ensure that the children and young people receive their health assessments within a timely manner.

This will include booking of appointments, typing and distribution of documents, processing BAAF Adoption & Fostering Assessment forms and updating computer systems and records.

You will work well as part of a team and have the ability to deal with patients, professionals and colleagues in a calm and professional manner at all times.

**Important information**

1) Confirm any previous NHS service details via the Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process should you be appointed to the post.

2) Transfer data provided to the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and other secure, internal NHS Workforce systems in order to support and manage your recruitment and employment.

3) Use recruitment information provided for the purpose of checking your Professional Registration online (where applicable) or essential qualifications as required

**Equality Statement** We are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all our employees as well as maintaining a workforce that reflects our local communities we serve.

The NHS and primary care define flexible working as "an arrangement which supports an individual to have greater choice in when... where and how they work" - flexible working arrangements are supported and can be discussed in relation to any advertised role.
