**Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?**

We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, to support our young service user who has complex care needs.

Our service user is a young child who lives with his family in Birmingham.

He requires a team of carers to support him on a part time basis throughout the night.

We are looking for pro-active and engaging individuals who are happy to get involved in the things he enjoys, such as sensory play and spending time outdoors.

He has epilepsy and can become very distressed following a seizure. To settle him, you will use distraction techniques and provide lots of cuddles and emotional support.

It is important that you recognise the onset of a seizure, documenting all seizure activity and administering rescue medication when needed.

**Applicants must have previous experience of working with children. Ideally, this will be within a nursery / childcare setting.**

This is a great opportunity where you will be using your valuable skills from your gained experience and progressing into a Children's Complex Care Assistant.

**Essential Experience Required**
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Childcare experience

**Desirable Experience**
- Epilepsy Care
- Seizure Management
- Rescue Medication

**We have the following shifts available;**
- Part Time Nights
- 10pm - 6am
