As a **Trainee Bus Driver**, you’ll receive all the necessary training, from gaining your provisional licence to becoming fully qualified, **all o**f **which is fully funded by Lothian**, letting you drive your career to the next level.

**As a trainee driver you must have**:

- A full UK driving licence, which you’ve held for more than one year and no more than 6 penalty points.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.

**Here’s what you can expect**:

- Paid training while you work towards gaining your PCV Bus licence (Cat D) - all costs covered by Lothian _(Training pay rate £10.90p/h - first 5 weeks)_
- Starting hourly rates £14.85p/h once qualified.
- Guaranteed 39 hour working week.
- Paid overtime with enhanced hourly rates.
