We are seeking a reliable and dynamic individual to join our team as a Freelance Event Van Driver & Staff member. The role involves operating a 3.5-tonne van to transport event equipment to various locations all around the UK including central London. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting with event setup and pack down, working closely with the event manager and team to ensure smooth operations.

**Driving Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van to transport event equipment to and from designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the van, conducting safety checks to ensure it is in proper working condition on pick up.
- Ensure vans are re-loaded in the correct order and comply with weight regulations for the vehicle.

**Event Staff Responsibilities**:

- Assist the event manager and team with the setup and pack down of event equipment, including stages, lighting, sound systems, and other related items. Training will be provided.
- Manual handling of equipment, including lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading items as required.
- Work efficiently to ensure that all equipment is set up and packed down according to the event schedule and requirements.
- Provide general support during events assigned by the event manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid driver's license with no more than 6 points and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
- Must be 25 years old and above.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
- Previous experience in the event industry or a similar role is advantageous but not essential.

**Please note**:You will need your own transport to get to our southern office in Poole where our vans are stored. This position is freelance and is NOT a full time position, shifts will be offered on a first come first serve basis through our availability calendar which is monitored by our designated resource co-ordinator.

**Salary**: £155.00-£180.00 per day

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
