**Brief Description**:
Network Rail have an exciting, career enhancing vacancy, for an experienced Personal Assistant to take on a key role with Network Rail’s Managing Director for the Southern Region.

Based at London Blackfriars, as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of Southern Region, you’ll be supporting a critical role to the future development of the region and provide support to this leadership post. Your success in the position will contribute to diversity and inclusion projects, exciting renewal programmes and the chance to work with the senior stakeholders in an exciting industry.

We can offer hybrid working (with the requirement to be in the office two to three days per week) as well as major discounts on corporate rail travel for yourself and leisure rail travel discounts for you and your partner.

**About the role (External)**:
**Key Accountabilities**
- Manage the Director’s calendar.
- Manage the Director’s personal budget, making comprehensive records available at all times.
- Make arrangements for functions, conferences visits and meetings.
- Co-ordinate and prepare agenda and papers for executive meetings and assist with any follow-up action as necessary.
- Supervise and organise workloads for clerical support team in conjunction with other functional managers.
- Maintain an efficient filing system paying particular attention to records of standing meetings, statutory records and authorisations.
- Utilise financial and procurement systems and act as Local Purchasing Agent (where directed).
- Review accounts received and process invoices for payment in accordance with Internal Control procedures.
- Process and maintain weekly personnel records.
