We are seeking to increase our team to provide the 5 mandated Healthy Child Program contacts and work as part of an integrated model.

We are now offering flexible working hours up to 8.00 pm along with a temporary uplift in pay, as our Bank Health Visitors receive top of Bank Pay Scale 6 until further notice.

A variety of shifts are available working City Wide across Birmingham, including Evenings and Weekends with the areas of highest need being:

Yardley

Sparkbrook

Erdington

Northfield

The post holder must be a Registered First Level Nurse/Midwife with a Health Visitor Certificate/Diploma/Degree with evidence of recent professional development.

Birmingham Early Years Services are on an exciting journey following a successful tender to provide an integrated approach delivering Health Visiting and Children’s Centre services as part of the early years offer as Birmingham Forward Steps.

Birmingham is a great city working with children and families within diverse communities offering the opportunity to achieve positive impacts whilst working within integrated teams. The service is committed to delivering high quality care, with clinical supervision and local team support considered essential.

The service has corporate membership of the Institute of Health Visiting, enabling access to the latest developments and research within Health Visiting to support innovative and evolving practice.

The service provides a learning environment, supporting students and newly qualified staff, SLAiP or equivalent is desirable.

BCHC provide high quality community and specialist services within Birmingham and the West Midlands. We deliver over 100 clinical services, out in people’s homes and in over 200 healthcare settings for adults, children, people with learning disabilities, those with rehabilitation needs and also dental services. One of our key objectives is to be ‘ a great place to work’ enabling everyone within the organisation to be the best that they can be.
