The Area Sales Manager is required (using telephone and IT systems) to seek out new business from within the hospitality & leisure industry’s both in the UK and Internationally, contacting potential new customers as well as servicing existing customers ona day to day basis with the emphasis on gaining new orders, chasing existing quotations, offering customer service, helping to identify new markets and business opportunities and increasing the company’s market share in all areas.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:
To increase the company’s market share of sales of all products through:

- Responding to customer enquiries & requirements, presenting solutions as required in order to close the sale.
- Gathering market, customer and competitor information.
- Recording sales and order information on the CRM program producing quotations and invoices
- Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations if required.
- Attending sales team production and sales meetings and sharing best practice ideas with colleagues.
- Attend training as and when required and to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail marketing to customer accounts

**Essential skills and abilities**
- Proven track record of working within a fast paced B2B outbound telesales environment.
- Working knowledge of proactive sourcing of new business leads and cold calling abilities
- Excellent telephone sales process and closing skills
- Ability to think and react quickly to sales scenarios
- Good customer service ethos
- Results focussed and enthusiastic telesales professional with a 'can do’ attitude and a passion for sales
- Good objection handling skills
- Attention to detail
- PC literate, experienced in working with CRM, word, excel, Outlook etc.
