Operations Leader

**The LOCATION ONE OPERATIONAL LEADER **role is to ensure smooth and efficient running of the Warehouse and Yard Operation. Guaranteeing the operational element of the branch is being run efficiently and equipment is being thoroughly checked, serviced properly and promptly to enable quick re-rental or sale. This position is also responsible to ensuring the physical movement of equipment, inventory and goods align perfectly with InspHire. Beyond this, the Operations Leader will manage, lead, and care for all mechanics, warehouse operatives and operational staff, always supporting their team and our organisation towards success.

**Responsible for the ‘Goods In / Goods Out’ workflow (Red - Green - Blue areas). This includes**:
The receiving of all goods, assets, and internal inventory.

The issuing and receiving of all deport transfer notes.

The processing of all picking, collection, and complimentary notes (fuel, damages and losses).

Ensuring the Purchase Order process is adhered to - from authorisation to goods receiving and flagging any changes in the system and to the accounting team.

**Responsible for consumable stock. This includes**:
Setting appropriate re-order levels, always coordinating with account managers to ensure stock availability.Safeguarding consumables and fuel against shrinkage.

Oversee purchasing of Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) including parts for the mechanic and warehouse team.

**General management, staff management and stakeholder relationships**

You are responsible for the Operational teams resourcing, effectiveness and prioritizing plant and vehicle repairs and servicing to enable swift turn-a-round times.

You are responsible for all repairs and servicing is recorded, capturing all detail

Staff training, appraisals and disciplinaries. These will be carried out in alignment with company guidance and policy.

Recruitment and labour levels of the operational team.

Fully participate, contribute and support branch meetings: +QDIP, monthly +QDIP and Driver townhalls.

Participate Gemba walks with Branch leadership around the adherence of The Playbook and all operational systems.

Support all investigations when quality hits are experienced.

**Qualifications and Position Traits**
- GCSE’s and A Level (or equivalent) preferred
- Previous knowledge / experience of working in a warehouse environment
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
- Good problem-solving skills
- Calm under pressure and an ability to adapt to last-minute changes
- Good administration / organisational skills

**Working conditions and Physical requirements**
- This role will be predominantly based outside and is fully 'hands on'.
- This will at times be a physical role that includes heavy lifting.
- This role will require overtime and shift flexibility.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
