- To carry out all aspects of the 'Housekeeping Supervisor/ Room Operative duties as instructed and trained by the Head Housekeeper and ongoing training as and when required.
- To assist the Head Housekeeper to take full control and responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department.
- To Supervise the Housekeeping Department on the Head Housekeeper’s 2 days’ off per week, including Supervising the Head Housekeeper’s holidays.
- Whilst Supervising, to carry out all the tasks the Head Housekeeper manages including dealing with laundry, managing the room operatives, cleaning of reception and public areas. the daily, weekly, monthly jobs for the team.
- To check each guest room after the Housekeeping Operatives have cleaned the rooms, to ensure the hotel's high standards of cleaning and presentation, to ensure rooms are ready for 3pm guest check in.
- To help train and monitor training of new members of the team.
- To work some days as a Housekeeping Operative when the Head Housekeeper is working.
- To cleaning guest bedrooms and bathrooms thoroughly to a very clean, neat, and presentable hotel standard using the appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Duties include making beds, dusting, polishing, hoovering, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning windows, replenishing guests tea/ coffee trays, stocking up cleaning trolleys with linen and guest supplies.
- To achieve the hotel's productivity of time spent cleaning a room.
- To report any maintenance to reception and/ or management.
- To work well in a team with your housekeeping colleagues. To liaise with reception team and the General Manager.
- To have a positive, friendly and professional attitude and good work ethic.
- To be courteous, polite, and respectful to all guests, visitors, colleagues, and management in the hotel to portray a professional and friendly environment.
- To comply with all company fire procedure and health and safety legislation as directed by management.
- Part Uniform supplied.
- Some experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a similar environment is preferable, but supervising experience is not essential as training will be provided.
- Must live locally.
- Immediate start.

**HOURS OF WORK**
- Weekends Saturday and Sundays (9.30 am start to 3pm or until all rooms are finished).
- To be flexible with days of work and to help with covering the Head Housekeeper's holidays.
- Annual leave accrued according to hours worked.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £11.00-£11.50 per hour
