**Job title**:Assistant Project Leader - Engineering Standards

**Location**:Barrow-in-Furness - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

**Salary**: £38,734+, depending on skills and experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- This role will present you with the opportunity to work with the Standards Service group to the whole business, involved in a range of projects including Dreadnought, SSNR and Astute
- You will have direct involvement in the management of Electrical team, producing Engineering Standards documents, Standard Procedures for Operations, Toolset Management and Development
- Using a keen eye for detail, you will be responsible for managing the work that the team are producing to ensure we are meeting standard and delivery
- Managing metrics and reporting on progress regularly to the higher management team, supporting the development of future toolsets and Standard Ranges
- Support, develop and mentor the overall capability of the team, encouraging the sharing of knowledge and experience
- Being visible to Internal and External Stakeholders, providing effective communication and relaying any problems that may occur whilst providing suggestions for solutions

**Your skills and experiences**:

- We would like you to be a qualified Designer OR have an Engineering background
- A sound understanding of Electrical Design / Engineering
- Be a confident communicator and bring a proactive approach to work

**The Service team**:
You will be joining a team who can provide you with support and on the job training to ensure you are set up for success in your new position. We are directly involved in projects throughout the whole of our business, providing 3D models for Engineering Drawings that are used for the Dreadnought, SSNR and Astute Submarines. Your days will be full of opportunities to learn from others within our business while progressing yourself and your skills. This role provides a step into management positions with progression opportunities into Project Leader roles and more.
