Your new role:
**What you’ll do**:
In your new role as Head of Cleaning, you will create and develop effective cleaning solutions by advising on industry innovation whilst working in partnership with the operations teams and suppliers. The role holder will drive, measure, and maintain efficient cleaning productivity across the various market sectors within RFM by championing best practise & troubleshooting where required. Your key responsibilities include:

- Create a “Centre of Excellence” by providing expert cleaning guidance & solutions across the range of RFM’s sectors including education, public sector, defence, blue light & health.
- Working closely with supply chain and operational colleagues to identify, test, and implement new cleaning machinery, process, and delivery methods to ensure that we are proactive with respect to market and industry bidding developments in cleaning services.
- Developing and maintaining an estimating guidance library and mobilisation guidance which provides support for operational and business development colleagues.
- Developing case studies that can be used to demonstrate our cleaning expertise.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Company & customer practices, processes and procedures to the ISO 9001 Quality, OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety and ISO 14001 Environment, statutory employment Health & Safety & environment legislation, and all other BS ISO Standards relevant to role
- Developing and maintaining a culture of ‘continuous improvement’ throughout the business
- Developing case studies that can be used to demonstrate our cleaning expertise.
- Keeping abreast of best practice in the industry, new ways of working and innovation to ensure that our bids mirror best practice in the cleaning industry.
- Ensuring that all operational policies and procedures are in place for the effective, safe, and ethical running of the business

**What you’ll need**:

- Member of BICSc or equivalent
- Experience of bidding cleaning services in a wide range of cleaning environments such as Education, Public sector, Health, Defence & Blue light.
- Experience of subcontracted services, good knowledge of market rates and the ability to build strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Thorough knowledge, experience, and understanding of estimating, calculating productivity levels, and developing operating models to deliver first class cleaning services.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of cleaning services including use of materials, equipment, machinery, training, scheduling, and task planning.
- Experienced in mobilisation, transition, and re-structuring of cleaning services.
- Experience of operating at a senior operational level within a relevant role and industry.
- Understanding of corporate governance.
- Demonstrated ability to set, seek agreement to, and deliver own agenda.
