An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and well established team.

The CLDT is a well-established and friendly team in Trafford, which is based in Sale, to the South of Manchester. Speech and Language Therapy is a valued and respected component of the team, our speech and language therapy service is organised so as to have locality management coupled with parallel professional systems for support and supervision.

The Trafford Community Learning Disability Team is part of Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Trust (CWP), which provides comprehensive learning disability services across the Cheshire, Wirral and Trafford. The team links closely into the wider learning disability care group within CWP, and has excellent governance and support structures. CWP also hosts the Centre for Autism, Neuro Developmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities (CANDDID) and has a commitment to research and quality improvement initiatives. The team also links closely with our colleagues in Greater Manchester, as part of a wider Greater Manchester Network.

The post requires enthusiasm and commitment to working with adults learning disabilities within a person centred approach.

The post holder will receive a high level of support and supervision within the community multi-disciplinary learning disability team.

To be responsible for the delivery of specialist speech and language therapy to adults with Learning Disabilities in Trafford. The post will be based within the multi-disciplinary Community Learning Disabilities Team (CLDT).

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.
